The NVQ in Structural Post & Beam Carpentry is the route to qualification designed by the Carpenters’ Fellowship and awarded by The Construction Awards Alliance awarding body or CAA.

This course is currently through two routes:

  1. In partnership with Gloucester College of Arts and Technology. (Follow the link to Gloscol if you wish to find out more about the college.)


  1. Directly through OFTF working with the National Specialist Accredited Centre (NSAC), a division of Construction Skills set up to cater for training and qualification within specialist areas in construction.


All assessments for the NVQ are carried out by CF assessors at your place of work, college attendance is not required.

Send us the names of the nvq applicants along with the following information:

CF Registration Number of the applicant (if registered)

CITB registration number of the individual (if registered)

Return address for application forms


You will be sent the NVQ application pack along with notes to guide you through the enrollment process.
